NEW COLORS! MamaBear One Size Wool Diaper Cover Wrap - Wool Interlock or Jersey - You Choose Colors

Regular price $18.50

These BEAUTIFUL one-size fits all covers are made from 2 layers of Wool Interlock or Wool Jersey paired with wool interlock. These wools are as soft as a t-shirt, slightly thicker, stretchy, comfy and come in a variety of colors - perfect for your baby bear!

For extra protection add an extra layer of wool interlock giving you 3 trim layers of wool to help keep your baby bear dry!

Wool interlock and wool jersey are pretty lightweight materials, although I've washed and dried them once to felt them up a bit as well as lightly lanolized the fibers, merino wool is a silky fiber that doesn't felt stiff and thick like scratchy wools do - if you want to boost the protection your cover offers without the bulk of a sweater knit I'm happy to add a full body layer of wool interlock to your cover when sewing. Simply choose that option when checking out. Please note that even 3 layers of wool jersey or interlock may not be sufficient protection for heavy wetters overnight - for the best overnight solution try one of my wool sweater-knit covers. :)

PLEASE SPECIFY COLOR WHEN CHECKING OUT! Shopify will not let me list all the colors as there are too many variants. To avoid delays please leave a note with the color you would like from the following options:

These covers will work with boingos, snappis, pins, or other diaper fasteners. Having no closures means it is 100% reversible so you get 2 great looks with one cover. Make it the exact size you need by folding down the front and adjusting the waist. This great, trim wool cover will fit down to newborn/preemie size!

***Or add snaps or hook and loop, though this will make your item non-reversible. If you choose this option the color you choose will be the color that faces out though the inner color may be different.***

Make this a complete diapering solution by adding this listing:

Leg Openings: 5-15"

*All sizes are approximate. Please check your baby's measurements.

Wool is a renewable healthy alternative to plastic diaper covers. Wool breathes keeping baby cool, dry and preventing diaper rash. When lanolized it's a great moisture barrier since it is able to absorb 40% of its weight in water before feeling wet. Wool is also naturally flame retardant and anti-bacterial - amazing stuff!

Want to try cloth but having a hard time with the expense involved in buying a stash of tons of different diapers, covers, sizes, and options? Try this:

Buy 1 MamaBear One Size Fits All Wool wrap or waterproof Diaper Cover. Use it on your BabyBear instead of a disposable in the morning. You don't even need a diaper, just lay a folded soft towel, t-shirt, or other absorbent cotton material in the middle and snap/velcro it on.

Change as usual with a disposable next, throw soiled toweling in wash and rinse cover by hand (you can skip this part for a wool wrap that is only damp). Hang cover to dry. By evening you can use your cover again!

By replacing just 2 disposable diapers a day you are saving approximately $3.50 - $5.00/week depending on what disposables you use. That's enough to buy another cover in a couple of weeks!

With 2 covers you can replace 4 disposables a day saving $7-10 a week, enough to buy another cover in a week or two!

With 3 covers you can almost completely replace the disposables by washing and rotating drying and just filling in with disposables when a cover isn't dry yet!

A good number to shoot for is 10-12 covers (6-8 wool). This allows you to accumulate enough soaker materials and covers (remember wool shouldn't be machine washed and doesn't need to be washed every time anyway) to do a load of diapering materials every other day, completely eliminating the need for disposables!
